Riding Ethics

Tread Lightly! Principals

• Travel and recreate with minimum Impact.
• Respect the Environment.
• Educate yourself. Plan and prepare before you go.
• Allow for the future use of the outdoors; leave it better than you found it.
• Discover the rewards of responsible recreation.

ETHICAL RIDING GUIDELINES:

• Keep your vehicle to the road or trail
• Never blaze a new trail
• Never ride in “wilderness” or other closed areas
• Avoid riding through water except at designated crossings
• Avoid excessive speed
• Install and maintain a quiet exhaust system
• Keep the production of dust and mud to a minimum
